Donald Trump reveals real reason behind mysterious bruises on his hands

Recently, Donald Trump has been seen with noticeable bruises on his hands, sometimes even covered with concealer, sparking concerns about his health. Over the past few weeks, the 79-year-old former president often appeared with bruised hands, leading observers to suggest he was trying to hide his right hand by placing his left over it.

Trump has faced questions about his well-being, including claims that he seemed to fall asleep during White House events an allegation he strongly denied. He has consistently dismissed speculation about his health, emphasizing that he has “aced” cognitive tests and impressed doctors during CT scans.

In a revealing interview with the Wall Street Journal, Trump finally explained the cause of the bruising. He attributed it to a high dose of aspirin he takes on medical advice.

“They say aspirin is good for thinning the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” Trump said.

His physician, Sean Barbabella, confirmed that Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily for cardiac prevention. Trump noted, “They’d rather have me take the smaller one. I take the larger one, but I’ve done it for years, and what it does do is it causes bruising.”

Earlier, in July, Trump underwent routine medical checks at Walter Reed after his doctor noted mild swelling in his lower legs. Scans revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a condition common in older adults where the leg veins’ valves don’t work properly, slowing blood return to the heart.

Barbabella explained to the Wall Street Journal that Trump suffers from “superficial chronic venous insufficiency,” which affects the smaller veins in the body and can make bruising more likely.
