MAGA demands Barron Trump marry Danish Princess in bizarre Greenland takeover plot

Some MAGA supporters have floated a wild idea that Barron Trump could help the U.S. secure Greenland.

The speculation centers on Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron, and his potential role in fulfilling the former president’s long-discussed plan to bring Greenland under American control. Trump has repeatedly suggested that Greenland is strategically vital for the U.S., a stance that has sparked concern from Danish leaders. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen even warned that any U.S. attempt to seize the territory could destabilize NATO.

Now, some supporters believe the solution might lie in a royal marriage. The theory goes that if Barron, 19, were to marry Denmark’s Princess Isabella, 18, Greenland could be handed to the U.S. as part of a dowry solving Trump’s Greenland ambitions in one fell swoop.

This idea has gone viral on social media, particularly on X, where users have shared AI-generated images depicting Barron in a tuxedo alongside Princess Isabella in a wedding gown. Comments range from playful to incredulous, with one X user writing, “The simple diplomatic solution is Barron Trump marries Princess Isabella of Denmark, and Greenland is given to America as a dowry payment.” Another joked, “He’s too tall for her,” while others remarked that such a “medieval-style” solution seems far-fetched in modern diplomacy.

European leaders, however, have been clear on the matter. On Tuesday, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and Denmark issued a joint statement: “Greenland belongs to its people, and only Denmark and Greenland can decide on matters concerning their relations.”

While the Barron-Trump marriage theory is trending online, it remains firmly in the realm of internet speculation more meme than policy but it highlights the ongoing fascination with Trump’s Greenland ambitions.
