Donald Trump's exteme orange skin sparks 'declining health' fears amid mystery medical

Donald Trump’s Health Sparks Speculation Ahead of His “Routine Check-Up” at Walter Reed

President Donald Trump’s signature orange complexion appeared even more intense during his eighth cabinet meeting on Thursday, just a day before his scheduled routine yearly check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump would visit Walter Reed for a “planned meeting with service members,” followed by a standard medical examination. However, the timing has raised eyebrows as it comes amid a government shutdown, disputes over National Guard deployments in Illinois and Oregon, and renewed talks of an Israel-Hamas peace deal under the Trump administration’s mediation.

During a White House roundtable earlier in the week, Trump hinted at an upcoming trip to the Middle East, saying, “I’ll be going to Egypt, most likely that’s where everybody is gathered right now.”

This visit to Walter Reed follows his last annual physical in April, where White House physician Sean Barbabella reported that the president was in “excellent health” and “fully fit to execute his duties.” The report also mentioned that Trump takes cholesterol medication and falls within the overweight range.

The White House has not specified why another exam is being conducted so soon. Speaking to reporters, Trump described it as a “semi-annual physical,” adding,

“I think I’m in great shape knock on wood. Mentally, I feel very good. I also took a cognitive test and scored perfectly. One of the doctors said he’d never seen that before.”

Following his comments, social media users flooded X (formerly Twitter) with mixed reactions.

User @Stephen6776 questioned, “Why does he keep bringing up his ‘perfect score’ on a dementia test when it’s supposed to be a physical?”

Another, @BubsyRyder, wrote, “He keeps repeating the same line — that’s not a great sign.”

And @KenKlinkner joked, “If you have to brag about scoring perfectly, you probably didn’t come close!”

At 79, Trump remains the oldest person ever elected president a few months older than Joe Biden was in 2020. His recent public appearances have reignited speculation about his health after a noticeable bruise on the back of his hand sparked online discussion. The White House previously explained that it came from “frequent handshakes and constant work.”

Trump’s meeting with the President of Finland is still expected to proceed this afternoon, though attention remains focused on his Walter Reed visit and whether the results of his latest physical will be made public.
