Karoline Leavitt grilled on Trump’s bandaged hands as Fox News halts for breaking news

During a White House press briefing, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt faced tough questions about President Donald Trump’s bandaged and bruised hands, raising fresh concerns about his health. The exchange was captured in a Fox News breaking news segment, highlighting growing public scrutiny.

A reporter asked: *“The president has been spotted with bandages on his hands. Can you clarify why? Also, he mentioned on Truth Social that he aced three cognitive tests—when did those take place?”*

Leavitt gave a vague response, saying, *“I can do that at a later date. I don’t have that in front of me, but the president has addressed these topics extensively over the years. Regarding the hand bandages, he meets with so many people daily—like Grand Central Terminal in the Oval Office—and is on a daily aspirin regimen, which can contribute to bruising.”*

Her explanation didn’t convince viewers. Social media reactions included comments like: *“‘Handshakes bruise Trump like a two-week-old banana’ is a weak excuse”* and *“Why would bruises from handshakes appear on the back of the hand?”*

Health questions about Trump have persisted for years. Earlier this week, he claimed he received “perfect” results from a recent medical exam at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The 79-year-old also emphasized that he “aced” three cognitive assessments—an achievement he says few could match.

While the White House maintains that his hand bruising is harmless, the topic has reignited public debate about Trump’s overall health and fitness for office.
