US talk show host Rosie O'Donnell recently launched a scathing critique of former President Donald Trump, focusing on concerns about his health and leadership. In a TikTok video posted on December 27, O'Donnell suggested that Trump’s behavior resembled someone experiencing cognitive decline, calling for the activation of the 25th Amendment.
O'Donnell, who relocated to Ireland following Trump’s 2024 re-election, stated she would only consider returning to the United States "when it is safe for all citizens to enjoy equal rights." She highlighted instances where Trump appeared visibly sweating during speeches and accused him of rambling or showing signs of confusion on camera.
In her TikTok, she said: “I've been reading the news about, you know who… he’s making crazy posts, like someone with temporal frontal lobe dementia, and out of control. When are they going to do the 25th Amendment?” She continued by emphasizing the broader dangers she believes Trump poses, including the risk of war and undermining democratic processes.
O'Donnell and Trump have a long-standing feud dating back to 2006, when O'Donnell criticized Trump’s handling of a Miss USA controversy while she was on The View. Despite attempts to step back from posting about Trump for her own mental health, she reportedly returned to social media shortly after, resuming her outspoken criticism.
Her remarks have reignited debates about Trump’s capacity to lead and his influence over American politics, especially in the lead-up to future elections.
