GB News halted for major Donald Trump alert it's not good news for President

GB News interrupted regular programming to report that former President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are engaging in discussions today aimed at securing a potential peace deal by 2026. The breaking news banner read: “Trump-Zelensky peace talks today.”

During the coverage, Eamonn Holmes spoke with former NATO senior official Nicholas Williams, who emphasized the complex position Trump faces in the negotiations. According to Williams, the former president is balancing pressures from both Ukraine and Europe while trying to maintain a strategic approach toward Russia.

Williams explained: “Trump is in a difficult position. If he hesitates to present a deal to Russia due to potential objections, it could be seen as a setback for Ukraine. On the other hand, if he supports a deal and Russia refuses, the U.S. would fully back Ukraine. Zelensky is clearly trying to guide Trump into taking a firm stance, but Trump’s approach remains unpredictable.”

Williams also highlighted Russia’s ongoing attacks on Ukraine, noting that recent drone and missile strikes target critical energy and heating infrastructure. He added that these attacks are intended to signal the high cost of resistance and pressure Ukraine during the harsh winter months.

This development raises important questions about the U.S. role in mediating the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the potential for a lasting peace deal in the coming years.
