'Unwell' Trump targeted on CNN as guest exposes worrying symptoms

Concerns about Donald Trump’s health have once again made headlines after a CNN interview where Democratic congresswoman Madeleine Dean described the president as “unhinged and unwell.” Dean’s remarks have fueled growing debate over Trump’s recent public appearances, where he has often seemed more lethargic and unfocused compared to his earlier years in office.

During the CNN segment, Dean was asked directly about her choice of words. The anchor pressed, “You just called the president unwell again. What do you mean by that?” Dean explained that while aging is natural, the difference in Trump’s behavior is striking. According to her, “He’s slower, a little more lethargic, and noticeably different than he was in his first term.”

However, Dean emphasized that her concerns extend beyond physical stamina. She pointed to a recent meeting with military leaders that she found troubling. Trump reportedly allowed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth to summon over 800 global military officials a move Dean called “extraordinarily reckless and vain.” She argued that pulling generals away from their operational commands only for Trump to deliver what she described as rambling and incoherent remarks was deeply concerning.

She recounted how Trump spoke at length about trivial matters, such as walking down stairs, claiming credit for ending wars, and even commenting on the design of battleships wondering aloud whether they should be gold. “The comments meandered, and some generals who started taking notes eventually stopped because it made no sense,” Dean remarked.

For Dean, the real danger lies in the message this behavior sends to the rest of the world. “What you thought was the United States as the indispensable nation may now appear much less so,” she warned. She believes Trump’s public image risks undermining U.S. credibility on the global stage at a time of heightened international tensions.

While making it clear that she does not wish for the president to fail, Dean said she is deeply worried about his leadership. “I want this president to succeed. But it is clear to me that he is unwell. And I think the people around him have to recognize that and admit it to him.”

Her remarks highlight a growing discussion in Washington about whether Trump’s age, health, and public demeanor are beginning to affect his ability to lead effectively.

  1. He is clearly unwell and it is sad but I want someone who has the nuclear codes cognitively intact
