U.S. President Donald Trump was sharply criticized this week after delivering what many described as an “unhinged” address to hundreds of Army generals and admirals. The moment aired live on MSNBC and quickly went viral.
During the speech, Trump told the officials in attendance that they could applaud “if they felt like it” and even suggested they could leave the room if they disagreed with him though he added that doing so would risk their military careers.
Critics also pointed out a series of factual errors in his remarks. For example, Trump claimed that the Department of War was renamed in the 1950s, though the change actually occurred in the 1940s. He also suggested that his strike on Iran had dismantled Tehran’s nuclear program, crediting it to the Atomic Energy Commission an agency that was dissolved in the 1970s.
The backlash spilled into Congress. On MSNBC, Democratic Representative Madeleine Dean directly confronted House Speaker Mike Johnson about Trump’s behavior. She told him:
“The president is unhinged, he is unwell.”
Johnson dismissed her concerns by responding, “A lot of folks on your side are, too,” before being cut off by Dean, who argued that Trump’s behavior posed a serious risk to U.S. foreign policy and global alliances.
The exchange spread quickly on social media, with viewers noting that Johnson’s comments appeared to indirectly admit that Trump was “unhinged.”
Adding to the scrutiny, recent public appearances by Trump have reignited health concerns. During a 9/11 anniversary event, part of his face reportedly “dropped,” drawing attention to his past diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency.
For many observers, the combination of questionable remarks, visible health issues, and dismissive reactions from GOP leadership has raised fresh debates over Trump’s fitness for office.

There's a useful instrument written in U.S. law. It's call Article 25. It can be invoked if it appears the President is unfit to hold his office. It needs to be invoked, the sooner, the better.
