Donald Trump’s 4-word reaction to left-wing ‘worst nightmare’ who vows to stop him

Donald Trump is once again making headlines this time for his explosive reaction to Zohran Mamdani’s landmark victory in the New York City mayoral race.

Shortly after major news outlets projected Mamdani’s win, Trump took to Truth Social late Tuesday night with a brief but ominous post: “…AND SO IT BEGINS!”

Earlier in the day, he had launched a series of attacks against the 34-year-old Democratic Socialist, labeling him a “radical threat” and even calling Jewish voters who supported Mamdani “stupid,” claiming the New York state assemblyman was a “self-professed Jew hater.”

The comments stemmed from Mamdani’s criticism of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza which he has called “genocidal” and his public support for the International Criminal Court’s arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Trump, who had endorsed former governor Andrew Cuomo in the race, warned that a Mamdani victory would bring “total collapse” to the city. He also threatened to slash federal funding for New York City “to the bare minimum required,” signaling potential tension between the White House and City Hall moving forward.

Adding to the controversy, Trump even suggested deporting Mamdani who was born in Uganda and became a U.S. citizen in 2018 and raised the idea of a federal takeover of the city.

Despite the attacks, Mamdani won decisively. With 90% of votes counted from a record turnout of over two million the highest in half a century he led Cuomo by nine points. Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa trailed even further behind.

Mamdani’s election marks several historic firsts: he will be New York’s first Muslim mayor, first of South Asian heritage, first African-born mayor, and the youngest in more than 100 years.

At his victory rally in Brooklyn, Mamdani celebrated the moment with supporters, declaring,

“New York, tonight you have delivered a mandate for change.”

He pledged to focus on working-class priorities such as free childcare, city-run grocery stores, fare-free bus service, and a Department of Community Safety that would send mental health professionals to certain emergency calls instead of police officers.

In a direct message to Trump, Mamdani said:

“New York will remain a city of immigrants, built by immigrants, powered by immigrants and now, led by an immigrant.”

Former Governor Cuomo conceded graciously, calling his campaign “a caution flag” for the future and urging his supporters to give the new mayor a chance. Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa also acknowledged Mamdani’s win but warned him against “weakening the police or embracing socialism.”

The election underscores a deeper shift within the Democratic Party one that echoes the growing strength of the progressive movement championed by figures like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Mamdani now faces major challenges ahead, including balancing New York’s $100 billion budget, maintaining public safety, and navigating what is expected to be a strained relationship with the Trump administration.

His victory, however, symbolizes something larger a generational and ideological change in one of America’s most iconic cities.
